HELLO! I’M JONAH BRAINARD
About Me
Originally born in South Carolina, I moved to Gettysburg Pennsylvania at the age of two and have lived there ever since. I attended a private catholic school until I was 12 and then switched to a public school there after. I have always had a passion for soccer and have been playing since I was four. Playing for numerous clubs, I eventually worked my way onto the varsity middle school and high school teams. Now in college, I have joined the men's club soccer team and hope to dominate the league. Other than my love for soccer, I have a deep connection to snowboarding. Taking up this hobby in 8th grade, it has provided me joy, happiness, and even a job. Back home, I work at the nearby mountain resort as a tubing assistant throughout the winters and a dishwasher for an Italian restaurant over the summers.
Since my first year of high school, I have been interested in digital media and working with a camera. I have created countless shorts for classes, and competed in various film competitions. Additionally I have worked with a friend to generate promotional works for several businesses around the Gettysburg area. I have plentiful experience within this field and I hope to one day work for Netflix or HBO to produce movies/television series.

Ski Liberty Mountain Resort Bubbly Tube Park Lane Assistant
November 2018 - Present
At this job, I started off with ticket sales, communicating with guests and printing out their passes. However, after a year and a half, I was promoted to an outside position where I interact with guests and ensure their safety as they tube down our 16 lane slope. This is a seasonal job as I work only in the winters.
Mela's Kitchen & Hard Cider
July 2021 - August 2022
I was employed by this high quality Italian restaurant as a dishwasher for almost a year and a half. The job was very intense and laborious as it was a popular place to eat.

This is a start up company with a friend where we provide local businesses with promotional and feature videos.
GraphCom Internship

GraphCom is a local marketing business located in Gettysburg, PA. I interviewed and got accepted for an unpaid internship there where I shadowed and got hands on experience on how a marketing company works.

I graduated in May of 2022 after learning and acquiring loads of education based around digital media. Throughout my four years, I grew to love working with a camera and have taken everything that the school offered to satisfy that need. From graphic communications to video game design. The school has also given me numerous opportunities to compete, and win, several media competitions. Regional and state levels included.
Ithaca College

I am currently enrolled in Ithaca College and am in the midst of my sophomore year. I am majoring in Cinema and Photography while double minoring in Photography and Marketing.
